Tom and Dawn all dressed up

Hello and THANK YOU for visiting our site! I served over 20 years in the military, and during that time, I missed out on a lot of family events. Kids school and sporting events, Birthdays, Christmases, Anniversaries, all because duty called. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret a minute of my service, but now that I have retired, I want to pay my family back for all of their sacrifices and make up for all I missed. So, how do I do that?

Like many service members, I joined the military right after graduating from high school. When I joined the Army, my enlistment benefits totaled out to be $25,200 between the $14,400 Army College Fund, the $9,600 G.I. Bill, and the $1,200 I had to invest myself ($100 per month for 12 months). Many of you probably had the same or similar enlistment package options. Maybe you even received an enlistment bonus (I did not).

At the time that I joined, the benefits were the last thing on my mind. I wanted to serve my country on the front lines! I enlisted as an Airborne Infantryman! I served in Airborne Infantry teams, squads, platoons, and companies for over twenty years and served in numerous leadership positions from Team Leader to First Sergeant. I also served as a Recruiter, an Adviser/Liaison, and a Drill Sergeant, not voluntarily, but because that is what the Army wanted me to do. I participated in and led various missions during multiple deployments including Special Operations Task Forces in Africa in 1994 and Iraq from 2006 to 2008 as well as numerous other operations. All at the Army’s request and on a moments notice!

So, when I retired, I really needed to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up! One thing I did know, was that I did not want to start at “the bottom of the totem pole.” I wanted to be in charge of my own life for a change! AND, I needed to have the freedom to NEVER miss another family event again.  I spent a lot of time researching ideas and I tried a lot of different things. I was an Insurance Agent, I worked in sales, I was a Background Investigator, I did water heater repair/replacement, and now I work as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.

My current role as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor has allowed me to enjoy my true passion in life, helping others achieve success. I have a mantra that drives me… Here it is: “Most people spend half their lives trying to be successful, and the other half trying to be significant. If you can live a life of significance, success will follow!”

I want to help Veterans because I am a Veteran and we are all family. A brotherhood and sisterhood that can not be described, explained, or understood unless you are part of it. A group of people who gave a portion of their lives in the service of the nation and will now spend the rest of their lives living with the rewards and consequences (good and bad) of that service.

I developed Veteransgetpaid.com with a single goal in mind. Helping Veterans achieve financial freedom and success while working from home! I want to create a place where Veterans can come and learn how to make extra money to supplement their retirement, disability, or employment income, and ultimately, earn a residual income that allows them to enjoy their retirement to the fullest! That being said, if you find any errors, problems, or have any feedback whatsoever, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will address those issues as quickly as I can.

Again, thank you for your service and your sacrifice. I hope to be of continued service to you and your family.

Very Respectfully,

Tom Frantz
